Dane Rashford, the brother of Manchester United star Marcus, has had a domestic abuse charge against him 'dismissed' after he was arrested in Miami.

Dane, a Football Association registered agent, was arrested on October 20 in Miami Beach, Florida. On October 24, he was charged with misdemeanour battery, which is also defined as domestic violence. However, has now reported that Rashford has had the charge 'dismissed' before reaching court, as per his lawyer Alex Spiro. Spiro claimed his client had been arrested and charged in a 'misunderstanding'.

"There have been numerous reports about Dane Rashford, the brother of Manchester United and England footballer, Marcus Rashford, being arrested in Florida last year," he said.
“We want to make it very clear that the charges were quickly dismissed and Mr Rashford did not even have to appear in court. He and his partner are pleased that this misunderstanding is now firmly behind them.”

The 31-year-old is a director of DN May Sports Management, an organisation that counts the Man Utd forward among its clientele. However, Marcus is managed by another brother, Dwaine Maynard, who is likewise registered as an FA agent and was included on the official FA paperwork for Marcus' last two contracts with the team.
