The result never looked in doubt for United, who dominated from start to finish and took the lead through Geyse after Maya Le Tissier's long pass caused havoc in the West Ham defence before Leah Galton doubled the hosts' advantage in first half stoppage time.
Grace Clinton wrapped up the win in the second half with her first goal for the club to cap off an impressive afternoon for United.

THE MVP
Arguably the most impressive part of United's display came through a complete team performance, which saw contributions from all areas of the pitch to assert their dominance over West Ham.
Geyse proved entertaining throughout, including seeing an acrobatic effort hit the woodwork in the first half, while a goal-scoring return for Clinton after her loan spell at Tottenham last season will have given fans much to sing about after a comfortable win.

THE BIG LOSER
West Ham, in general, were thoroughly outclassed and it would be harsh to single out one person in a disappointing performance for every player on the visiting team. However, Hammers defender Camila Saez will undoubtedly feel she could have done more for the first goal, having failed to usher the ball out of play and allowing Geyse to nip in and finish.
Saez will claim she was fouled but the debutant had a lot of time to make her decision and her misreading of the situation set the tone for a difficult afternoon.

WHAT COMES NEXT?
The result gives United a perfect start to the WSL season, with Marc Skinner's side hoping to better their fifth-place finish from last year. The Red Devils play Everton in their next game, while West Ham will be determined to put in a better showing when they face Liverpool next week.
