ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
Christian Pulisic scored his first competitive goal of the season as the U.S. men's national team star netted Milan's second in a Coppa Italia clash with Bari on Sunday.
Pulisic's goal came just minutes into the second half with Milan already holding a 1-0 lead. Set up by Mexico star Santi Gimenez, Pulisic took a touch, turned and placed a shot into the back of the net, doubling Milan's lead while giving his side plenty of breathing room against their Serie B opponent.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Pulisic's goal comes amid headlines around the American star thanks to the release of the latest episodes of his PULISIC docuseries on Paramount+. Pulisic, his father and USMNT teammate Tim Weah took aim at the former national team players who have criticized them, particularly over the last year.
Additionally, Pulisic discussed his thoughts on legacy and how he wants to change the perception of American soccer.
Pulisic's decision to skip the Gold Cup was controversial, at least partly because it came after such a strong season with Milan as he scored 17 goals while providing 10 assists, too, in all competitions. He's off to a good start this season, too, with Sunday's goal.
